Yeah. Misogyny, today, is so easy to commit. So accepted among males. So defended as free speech.
So basic to the less intelligent among us humans who believe that “men’s rights” are being taken away by dishonest, scheming women. Yeah. Right.
This is the problem with “SlutWalks”. It is agreement with the abuse, not self defense. Repetition of abuse doesn’t make it not abuse. No amount of calling yourself or your friends a slut “takes back” the word. It just gets the word, and the concept behind the word, more out there.
Why don’t women march, dressed any way they want to dress, bearing signs that read “No matter how I dress, I’m NOT a slut”? Is it because women are so used, now, to calling themselves, and each other, “slut”?
Women need to get back to disagreement. Not giving in. Not taking up the abuse as their own.
